Are you Looking for Plasma Television?

Everyone was instantly mesmerized by the plasma screen television when it became available. Unsurprisingly, many people simply preferred the newer model’s thin and flat look to that of the old, bulkier model. Another major benefit of the plasma screen television was that they offered more choices in how they could be integrated into the room. For instance, you can either mount it up your wall or let it hang from the ceiling. Taking up such little space was a great way to endear these slim line models to the showcase and display rooms, who readily began showcasing them.

Plasma Television

Do you ever wonder exactly what type of fantastic technology makes the advancements in the way we view television shows and movies possible? Images are not produced in the plasma screen television through any cathode ray tubes, or CRT. The amount of space required to house a television in the pre-plasma era is mostly to blame on the CTR that was included. Instead of the CRT, the plasma screen television is comprised of “cells” or glass compartments injected with a gas called neon-xenon. The neon-xenon is then suspended in plasma, which strikes blue, green, and red phosphors when electrically charged. It is because of the phosphorus, which erupts, that an image is produced.

It is not uncommon for people to buy a plasma screen television for the size feature. While size can be a nice benefit, you can reap negative benefits through letting size blind you to the bigger picture. A plasma screen television can be 32″, 40″, 42″, 46″, 50″, 61″, or even 63″, and bigger is not always better. People do this without thinking about how large their room size for the television is going to be. With the size of these sets, it will be an imposing figure in your entertainment room and so it is important to put it where you think it is appropriate.

With the risk of sounding like your mother, several figures can be cited in order to raise one’s consciousness about the dangers of sitting too close to the TV. It’s important for people with 32-37 inch sets to keep their distance a comfortable 6-10 feet. For those who will buy a 42 to 46-inch, a distance of 10 to 14 feet can help. A person who buys a plasma set that measures 50 inches should stay back fifteen feet. If you get a super large set that measures more than sixty inches, you need to keep at least a 25 feet distance.
